Restaurants and Entertainment:
There are so many restaurants to choose from in this area that there are too many to list. In the plaza at Palmer St. there are a number of restaurants to choose from whilst up in Burton St. on the corner of Forbes and Burton is ‘Rusty Rabbit’….this is a favourite of mine with great coffee, food and friendly wait staff. Head up to Darlinghurst Rd. and you have Mexican or try ‘Almond’ on Liverpool St. which has incredible Syrian food with GREAT cocktails! If you head to Stanley St. there are quite a few restaurants to chose from with Thai, Japanese, Italian and Modern Australian. Try ‘Verde’. You will love it!
Not that you really need to go far to venture into the city but if you don’t feel like walking the 389 bus stops right outside your door and heads straight through the city to Circular Quay where you can catch a myriad of ferries which will take you out to Manly Beach, Watson’s Bay to experience Doyle’s seafood restaurant, Double Bay and beyond.
Take the 389 the other direction and it will take you to Bondi Junction shopping centre and the famous Bondi Beach. If you walk ten minutes to Kings Cross you can catch the train in both directions as well. One stop to city and two stops to Bondi Junction. You will need to take your Opal Card which you can top up at most convenience stores and railway stations.
