House - Uralla NSW

An hour’s drive north of Tamworth, NSW, and 20 minutes south of Armidale, this beautifully presented 150 m², four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two storey house is in Uralla, only a few minutes driveway from the site of the upcoming New England Solar Farm. The large A-frame house has recently been completely renovated and features reverse cycle air-conditioning and en-suites for three of its four bedrooms.

Meticulously renovated from top-to-bottom, enter this classic A-frame house into a living/dining area with stylish timber-look flooring, two comfy sofas, dining suite for four and open fireplace. The dinng area flows through to a galley-style kitchen which comes fully-equipped with a dishwasher, electric oven, stove, microwave and family-size fridge. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with an en-suite and the other with a separate bathroom with laundry facilities.

Newly carpeted stairs will take you upstairs to another two bedrooms, both of which have their own en-suite. One bedroom features its own balcony.

Situated in a quiet, semi-rural setting, the house has a quaint front porch with outdoor setting and is set on a large plot of land with its own ‘Hills Hoist’ clothes line, an iconic feature of Australian homes.

Uralla is a town on the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales, Australia, a short drive from Armidale and about an hour’s drive from Tamworth. Boasting a rich history, Uralla has more than 50 buildings and sites of heritage significance. The community collectively bought and restored McCrossins Mill in the 1980s, and it is now a multi-award-winning museum, gallery and function centre, as well as the starting point for the heritage walk. Uralla is just a few minute’s drive from the planned Solar Farm in New England, south of Armidale.

Uralla has its own train station about 20 minutes walk from the house. Private coach company Edward provides several bus services daily to nearby Armidale. Being a country town, however, a car is the best way to get around Uralla and its outlying areas.

Wow who knew this strange looking house from the outside could be so amazing! The place was immaculate and more than what we expected. The way it was set up and laid out, we could learn a thing or two from this host. You don't expect quality accommodation like this in a regional town and it is much better than the local hotels. What's funny is that this house is called Millie's house. Our pet poodle is also named Millie which is short for a million bucks. The house honours her name. Highly recommended

Fantastic house just over the road from the golf course. We loved the quirkiness of the A-frame, the hosts were great at responding, and we would definitely stay there again.
